Assembly station
This project was a combined application of a gripper and an assembly station.
Using magnetic locking and centring by cone, the gripper positions the two parts to allow the final part to be assembled in two stages using power from a cylinder installed on the gripper.
The part to be "clipped on" is put in position first of all then the gripper places the second part on top so that the station can assemble the two parts.
By working in two stages like this, two functions are provided using a single gripper and without ever gripping the main part twice.
